BLOCK MOUNTING

With the arrival of our new 54" cold laminator we now offer Block Mounting to our evergrowing range of products.

Block mounting is the technique of mounting a print to any flat, smooth surface. We can obviously mount any image that we print for you or even mount any image you may want to supply to us. For instance, you may want a favourite poster block mounted* or even block mounted and framed or you may have printed your own image and want a professional quality block mount to display it properly.

As mentioned above, we can mount to pretty much any smooth flat surface to include MDF, block board, foam and PVC board, acrylic sheets and even glass up to a maximum material thickness of 1.5 inches and a maximum size of 1.1 meters wide and 3 meters long.

Unless you specifically as us not too, all images will have a non reflective silk-matt surface bonded to them to further protect the picture from sticky fingers, casual damage and pretty much anything else (including UV). The resultant surface is fully wipeable and will enhance your walls for many years to come.

To further enhance the product we do not supply them with rough painted edges on our MDF block mounts as many of our competitors do, instead, all our MDF block mounts are laminate edged in either black or white (see image below) which gives a far higher quality finish. We can even edge in a specific wooden veneer if you require it but this will attract a small additional cost as they are more expensive to buy in and we do not keep many of these in stock. Examples of these are Walnut, White Oak and Cherry. As these are real wooden veneers they can have a varnish or stain added (sorry, again at an extra cost).

Block prints can either be flush mounted to the wall or, using our stand-off system, can appear to float away from the surface of the wall by about 15mm. These look absolutely spectacular if a light is placed behind them. Combine this with the print of your choice or choose from our evergrowing library of images.

*With supplied images, such as posters, it is vital that the supplied image is absolutely flat with no distortion otherwise when the print is pressed to the mounting surface creases may appear. We obviously guarantee any mounts using images we have created will be crease free.
